Terms & Conditions
Important summary:
- Shortest standard rental: 4 days
- The deposit together with the expected rental amount is due when the vehicle is collected
- No more than 2 authorised drivers may be entered into the contract
- Use outside the Czech Republic is possible only with advance approval (including return assistance back to CZ)
- Delayed return fee: CZK 100 for every commenced hour
- The executed rental contract always takes precedence
These conditions are intended to make the rental process clear in advance, including payment, liability, operating rules and what happens in unexpected situations.
At handover, the renter is normally asked to present two valid identification documents, typically a passport or national ID together with a driving licence. The relevant details are then entered into the rental contract.
The car is released at the agreed location and time in a condition suitable for regular operation. Once the rental term ends, the renter is required to bring the vehicle back promptly to the agreed return point, unless another arrangement has been confirmed.
The standard minimum booking length is 4 days. Rental duration is generally calculated in 24-hour periods unless the signed contract states a different arrangement.
The refundable security deposit and the expected rental price are usually settled when the vehicle is picked up. The car is insured, and the customer participates in any covered loss through an excess of 10%, with a minimum responsibility of CZK 10,000. Any vehicle-specific details may be defined directly in the contract.
If the vehicle is returned after the agreed deadline, a contractual surcharge of CZK 100 for each commenced hour may be charged until the hand-back is completed.
Due to insurance conditions, trips abroad are not allowed for foreign nationals / persons without Czech residence.
Unless we approve otherwise in writing beforehand, the vehicle may only be used within the territory of the Czech Republic.
Only the individuals named in the agreement are permitted to drive the car. In most cases, the contract allows up to 2 approved drivers. The renter must not pass the vehicle to any person who has not been authorised.
The renter is expected to look after the vehicle and return it in substantially the same condition as received, allowing for normal wear. The car should be handed back clean, and the fuel level must be at least the same as at collection. Missing fuel may be billed at the current market rate together with an administrative charge where applicable.
Smoking inside the vehicle is not allowed. The renter must avoid damage to both the interior and exterior. Transporting animals is forbidden unless expressly approved in advance. Vehicle documents and personal valuables should never be left inside the car.
If an accident occurs, the renter must notify the police and inform the rental company without delay. In the event of a malfunction, the vehicle should be stopped safely, the engine switched off and our team contacted immediately. Repairs costing more than CZK 1,000 must not be arranged without prior approval.
Any fines, penalties or similar charges arising during the rental period are borne by the renter. For the duration of the rental, the customer is treated as the operator of the vehicle.
Loss of or damage to the keys or remote control may result in a fee of CZK 5,000. The same amount may apply to missing or damaged vehicle documents or licence plates. Burn marks or permanent staining may be charged at CZK 10,000. Deep cleaning of a wet interior may cost CZK 2,500, and exterior body dirt may be charged from CZK 200. The final amount depends on the contract and the actual return condition.
The renter must take reasonable steps to protect the vehicle against theft and must not store vehicle papers or valuables inside. If the vehicle is stolen, the customer may be responsible for the resulting loss and, where applicable, for the difference between the market value and the insurance settlement, depending on the contract terms.
Personal data is processed for contractual administration, compliance with legal duties (such as accounting and tax records) and the protection of legitimate interests, including vehicle security. The rented car may be fitted with a location tracking system used only in exceptional cases, for example to locate the vehicle, and only for the duration of the rental. Full details, including contact information, are provided in the signed agreement.
