Quick answers to the most important questions about renting a car with Auto Rental 001 Moravia.
What documents do I need to rent a car?
At least two valid identity documents (for example ID card and driving licence). In justified cases we may ask for additional proof of identity.
What is the minimum rental period and how is it charged?
The minimum rental period is 4 days. The rental fee is charged in 24-hour blocks; after the agreed period we charge CZK 100 for each started hour.
How many drivers may drive the vehicle?
Maximum two drivers listed in the rental agreement.
What are the conditions for returning the car (fuel, cleanliness)?
The car must be returned clean and washed. The fuel level on return must not be lower than at handover.
Are trips abroad allowed?
Yes, to neighbouring countries after prior agreement.
Payment, deposit and insurance excess
The rental fee and any insurance excess are paid when the vehicle is handed over. If the vehicle is damaged, including the interior, the deposit and remaining rental fee may be forfeited (does not apply if another vehicle is proven to be at fault).
What happens if I refuel with the wrong fuel?
The deposit is forfeited and all costs including vehicle downtime are charged to the renter.
Is the mileage limited?
As a rule there is no mileage limit. Any exceptions are specified in the relevant offer.
Delivery / return outside opening hours
By agreement we can deliver or collect the car outside normal opening hours or at another branch. We will confirm the conditions when you book.
Insurance and excess
All cars have third-party liability and comprehensive insurance. The level of excess is stated in the contract and depends on the model.
Can you issue an invoice for a company?
Yes, we can. Please provide the company details when booking.
Is a child safety seat available?
Yes, we can prepare a suitable child seat upon prior request. We recommend booking it in advance.
Motorway vignette and winter tyres
The Czech motorway vignette is included, and winter tyres are fitted during the winter season.
Pets in the vehicle
Allowed upon agreement. You are responsible for the cleanliness of the interior.
What should I do in case of an accident or breakdown?
Contact the car rental office immediately. In the event of an accident always call the police and obtain an accident report.
Loss of documents or licence plates
If the registration certificate or licence plates are not returned, damaged or lost, the deposit is forfeited. Please inform the rental office immediately.
Cancellation terms
Cancellation terms form part of the rental agreement and are specified when booking. Where possible, we will try to reschedule your booking.
Driver age and driving experience
Generally a minimum age of 21 and at least 2 years of driving experience. Exceptions can be agreed individually.
